EDIT & REUSE

Hypit edits and asset reuse: change a hook, caption or product

Separate what stays from what changes, explicitly select approved outputs and review a focused second version with an original editing brief.

Give the revision one clear target

Record the issue, its location and the desired outcome. “Replace the opening three seconds with a direct question” is easier to verify than “make it better”. This guide combines official documentation with original planning examples, not a production benchmark.

Three edits, three preservation lists

These are editorial decision examples. Actual dependencies determine the processing required.

Locate the approved result

Current documentation requires explicit historical output selection. Record the Build ID, output name and availability. Inspect production records when an old name is unknown.

Ask the Agent to declare reuse

Select approved outputs through build-record and satisfy in the Run, then inspect the plan. Replace the placeholders in this original handoff.

Target revision: [issue and segment]
Current Run: [path]
Approved outputs: [Build ID + output name]
Allowed changes: [dialogue / position / assets]
Preserve: [approved sections]
Explain historical selections and remaining processing before presenting the new Run plan.

Reuse does not skip every downstream step

Reusing raw video differs from reusing an already aligned result. Captions, graphics and final rendering may still run. Inspect the selected outputs and remaining work rather than assuming an automatic cache handles the revision.

Original example: a question-led bottle hook

Keep the lid demonstration and final product card. Change the opening to “Bag in one hand—how do you take a drink?” Read the line aloud before timing the transition. Longer speech needs a new timing check.

Change only the opening question. Explicitly select my approved lid footage and product card in the Run. List material needed for the new opening and any timing effects on the remaining sequence.

Review twice

First inspect the changed section, then review everything that should remain unchanged. Keep both versions and the revision note.

  • Is the requested problem resolved without a new one?
  • Are the demonstration and ending still correct?
  • Do captions, speech and transitions agree?
  • Does the export play completely and does the source project remain usable?
